Alpha Phi's Omega Chapter: An Incredible Story
Continued...
In September 1919, the first communication with Alpha Phi began. This correspondence by mail was kept secret until the installation of Omega chapter. Delta Alpha received three new members in November 1919. Anna Bennett and Goldie P. Horton, members of the UT faculty, and Minna Gill, special student in Journalism, were initiated into the petitioning sorority.
During this time, Delta Alpha held regular meetings at the home of Goldie Horton. In November, members of Alpha Phi International Fraternity visited the sorority to meet the members and explore the University.
The Alpha Phi National Board requested that these visits be kept secret until a decision had been made.
